Moving Through the Winter

Galway Arts Centre, with dancer Bernadette Divilly, are inviting mature people to dance this winter, at the beautiful library in Ballinasloe. The invitation is aimed at people aged 50 + and others interested. People with diverse and different abilities welcome, who wish to try something new and different.

This free course will begin on Thursday 31st October from 2.30pm – 4.30pm in Ballinasloe Library.

This is what Bernadette says about the course:

“Together we will explore movement meditation and the natural wisdom of your own body. We will dance together to transform tensions. Lean into atmosphere of place and explore space and gravity. Be present to the dance of the moment. Expect to rest and recover the knowledge archived in your bones. Take time to nap, to play and relax. Participants will develop their unique skills in dance making using their physical intelligence. We make also sweat so wear layers of comfortable clothing and bring a blanket, notebook and water.”

This is a free series of workshops, to sign up please call 091 565886 or email maeve@galwayartscentre.

This course is supported by Galway County Arts Office and Europe Direct Ballinasloe Library.
