Áras Éanna Artist in Residence Bernadette Divilly will facilitate a dance retreat on Inis Oírr, a pilot event inviting professional dancers to the island, including both past and present DAR recipients. With differing cultural influences and approaches, an exploration and sharing of ideas, focus will be developing a collaborative context for dance evolution in the remote west, using the island as a dance lab for research and investigation. Core to this is the sharing of Contemplative Dance improvisational compositional scores, integral to Bernadette’s socially engaged dance practice, that are grounded in body-mind relationship
